1. Training
Training

“It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning.” ~ Claude Bernard

Our training program helps our students to build basic skills necessary to become an elite hospitality professional. Our training programs are demanding, inclusive, and thoughtful. We develop valuable skills that give our students confidence to prosper in their entire career.

Two reasons why we can deliver this impact are:

  • Top notch industry leaders as trainers
  • Scientifically designed contemporary courseware

We are well-known for our learner-centric, experiential training programs. We emphasise on constant evaluation and work closely with our students. After every session, we conduct a session to reflection on the topic learned so as to cement key concepts and build personal character.

We do not confine our students only to classrooms but venture out with them into the “real world” to see and experience the hospitality industry, first hand.

We have assembled an able team of experienced trainers who have vast industry experience and qualifications.

Wine Education

We are perhaps the only company in Singapore to offer such a wide range of proprietary teaching tools that enables our students to gain such mastery over intricate knowledge of wine.

Our courses are designed to broaden the taste palate of our students as they become skilled at pairing the perfect spirits with specific types of food.

The evolution of Wine as an integral part of human civilization is an interesting journey. Our training programs do not just introduce our students with wine testing. We cover a plethora of soft aspects of the wine industry such as the historical evolution, cultural, and economic relevance.

Bartending

Bartending is both an art and science. Our Bartending course provides the trainees with the basic knowledge of how to prepare hot and cold beverages within current acceptable industry standards. This course also makes them adept at bar set up, equipment maintenance, hygiene, and sanitation.

We combine class-based learning with practical bartending sessions, ensuring that the course is well balanced between theory and practical learning. Our students learn various bartending skills including pouring, mixing, and flaring.

Teacher’s Training

As a part of our academic engagement, we extend our expertise to tertiary education institutions in developing an effective curriculum in professional practice of teaching.

To begin with, we work closely with teachers in designing instructional assignments for their students. We then help in getting these courses accredited and certified by relevant bodies.

Our proven proprietary training framework has achieved major breakthroughs in hospitality training which is very dynamic in nature. Our training structure can be implemented by teachers effortlessly for maximum delivery of training modules and attainment of objectives.

In our quest to build easily accessible training materials, we go beyond traditional print medium with our digital training modules that are available on the web and mobile platforms.

Not too long ago, it was believed that anyone who graduated from a doctoral program was capable of teaching. In recent years, however, it has become apparent that teaching is not an intuitive behavior. In addition to content, teaching also involves a complex intellectual process, and to develop the “art” of teaching, professors require guidance and support.

As the roles and responsibilities of university-level educators have evolved and expanded in recent years, the preparation of emerging university faculty leaders must focus on the development of the knowledge, skills, and strategies for teaching and learning in higher education.

This short course is designed to introduce the strategies and exemplars of university teaching skills necessary to meet these new professional demands for teaching at a university level.

We provide you practical activities to help you apply what you have learned and improve your teaching practice.  While these are optional activities, it is strongly recommended that you undertake them if possible. It is important for you to develop a portfolio to help you organize and document what you have learned. You may also use this portfolio to access other opportunities in the future.

This set of courses will enhance your knowledge and understanding about learning and teaching and what makes one a professional teacher.  In order to receive a completion certificate, you will need to sign up for the signature track for this and the next six courses.

Elective modules in MOE schools
